I agree with this entirely. I always wondered how "performance chips" can increase MPG and HP, but they aren't standard on the cars they are created for. The manufacturers should have their own chips finely tuned for peak performance when it leaves the factory. Consumers shouldn't have to purchase an after market chip in order to achieve better MPG and HP.
