Deeds need to have higher security standards
I keep reading about deed fraud and how it is becoming more and more prevalent in today's chaotic real estate market. Everyone has access to a printer, either at home, work or school, so it makes it easy to print forged copies. Here in Philadelphia, they don't even verify the deed because of the industry's need for processing speed (see this article). It's one big mess and as a homeowner, something should be done.
